PSE-mark certification / S-mark certification

PSE mark certification is a mandatory product safety certification in Japan, which is regulated by METI.

Within the Electrical appliance and materials Safety Law, there are 457 products applied, which are divided as two Categories - Category A ( PSE): “specified electrical appliances and materials” and Category B (PSE）: “non-specified (other) electrical appliances and materials”.

Category A products lists 116 items and Category B products includes 341 items.

S-mark certification is applied for those products, which are not regulated by the Electrical appliance and materials Safety Law.

S-mark is regulated by Steering Council of Safety Certification for Electrical and Electronic Appliances and Parts of Japan.
